Award-Winning Lake Home Remodel

Awards, News

Located on an idyllic setting, the property was owned by a woman who enjoyed sharing the retreat with her children and grandchildren. With the new improvements, the family can now enjoy their lakefront retreat comfortably year-round – from summertime boating to a cozy winter getaway!

Allrite Home & Remodeling took home a 2019 NARI Milwaukee Remodeler of the Year Silver Award in the “Residential Exterior $50,001-$100,000” category.

With improved visual aesthetics plus added functionality, energy efficiency and protection from the elements, we helped her turn the dated, dilapidated home into the lovely, enjoyable, home to make it enjoyable for her family for years to come.

Allrite Home & Remodeling took home a 2019 NARI Milwaukee Remodeler of the Year Silver Award in the “Residential Exterior $50,001-$100,000” category.

The project included the removal and replacement of:

The old, leaky windows in this home were placed too low to the ground. We replaced them with 14 Pella® windows at a higher height for increased functionality and energy efficiency with trim in LP® Smartside® Montana Suede.

Patio Door

A Pella® sliding glass door was installed on the western side of the home overlooking the lake, so the family can watch the beautiful sunsets together.

Roof & Ventilation

We recommended Malarky Legacy®, a very durable shingle, so that the homeowner was reassured that the roof could withstand algae, moisture, fallen tree branches, hail and more. The home had a lack of reliable intake and exhaust vents, which was concerning. To increase air flow, we added hidden continuous venting system and added ridge venting to the peak of the roof. The soffit and fascia were redone in LP® SmartSide® in Suede.

The new gutters provided an opportunity to change where and how the water drained onto the property. We pitched the gutters so that fewer downspouts were needed, and that they drained into less obtrusive spaces.

Including natural, very durable products was a must, however the customer made it clear from the beginning that she did not want vinyl siding as she preferred the traditional look of wood. To satisfy her requests, we utilized LP® SmartSide® Lap in a beautiful Portsmith Blue.
