Built in 1892, this historic home was in rough shape. Our objective was to complete the repairs while maintaining the home’s architectural style. We also wanted to match the rustic feel that is commonly found throughout the neighborhood, so we installed a siding product that provided the look and feel of cedar. Decorative elements were used on the fascia and gable ends, while maintaining the dentil accents separating the scallop siding from the new lap siding.
As one of the few houses on Main Street in the city, the renovated home is a showpiece for the area, with city residents appreciative that the home was returned to the era in which it was originally built. The homeowners love the new color scheme, the decorative elements, and the attention to detail on such a large home.
